This is my 12 days gift that I somehow managed to get made in time before our holiday later November. I picked up a dozen light switch covers from Bunnings in a throw out bin and decided this was the starting point for my 12 days art project. The cover is covered with alcohol inks first and when dried, stamped with a text stamp in black in patches. My husband made the backs for me which I could collage for the inside. Clear lacquer covers the image and various fibres, paper and lace complete the little project.

this is so beautiful Celeste and what a great idea to alter lightswitches!!
Lovely work, Celeste.
Celeste,
I saw one of these light switches that you altered in real life. I saw it as it was being unwrapped by Bevlea and I have to say it was awesome, a fantastic idea, a brilliant gift. I have been looking in Bunnings stores ever since to try and find the switch covers with no hope. One day I will find one. Oh love your blog and I also plan to visit often.
beautiful work!
