Die cards for a friend

I'm gathering quite a few dies these days.  They make lovely quick cards so made two for a friend who is ill to post a week apart to remind her I'm thinking of her.
My latest die is Frantic Stamper's Singing in the Rain set. Just love this die set.  I also die cut Impression Obsession clouds onto white felt and used a Fiskars punch for the sentiment.
Next weeks' card was made using Impression Obessions' Floral heart die, Tim Holtz's bird punch and some Memory box bird dies on Kraft. The wording stamp is an old Frienship border stamp from Hero Arts.

Victorian Floral

Found a super magazine pack complete with this Sheena Douglas Victorian Floral die kit, Poppy Stamp set, Woodgrain Embossing folder and template, plus a Video tutorial. With a friend's birthday coming up, I decided to put this Crafter's Inspiration pack to good use right away.  I included Die-Versions Happy Die and PTI Birthday die. I used a few Faber Castell Gelatos to colour cream card stock before cutting the flowers and stamping the leaves.  My friend likes poppies so hoping she likes my card.

Quirky Journal Page

I've been unwell for a few days, but continued to work until today. I stayed home to recover properly and felt up to some art play by mid afternoon.  Something fun and Zanny would pick me up, so feeling inspired by Kate Crane, came up with this journal page.

Blog return

After a long break and making other things a priority, it's now a great time for me to return to blogging.
During my "blog vacation" I still created so will upload those projects, out of date order over the coming weeks.

Due to the volume, the details of these may be sketchy so please email me if you have any queries.

Here are today's efforts.  A card for my husband tomorrow, made mainly from scrapbook paper and die cut birds.

The other I made today is a card made using the lovely Tim Holtz Bird Feather stamp set I recently received and felt the need to get ink on them for the first time.  I stamped the nest and eggs on paint chips I picked up from a hardware store.

Birthday Art Gifts

Late June the Paper Princesses came together once again to celebrate the birthdays of Kasha and Marlene. These canvases were created following an online class I purchased from the talented Donna Downey.

Journal Page

While staying with my friend Kasha, I made this journal page. I'll bind the loose pages later when there are sufficient numbers.

Crafty Individuals Blog Candy

Hand Etched Stamp

A wonderful colleague and friend, Terri-Ann, brought in an Aussie flower, the Kangaroo Paw, and asked if I could carve it into a stamp like some others I had done and took to work for show and tell. What a challenge, but think I came up with the goods in the end. Of course the finished stamp is a mirror reverse of the flower since I hand drew it directly onto the rubber.

Another Sweet Repeats Project

Here is another I finished following the online class with Jodi Ohl on Fearless Faux Encaustics.

Latest Art Journal

This journal was my husband's idea in that he suggested i put one cover upside down to the other so I could flip it depending on what art style I intend to do. One side could be say painting and drawing while the other using images, washi tape etc. I used Coptic binding stitch to secure.

Craft Storage Room Update

These two images show both ends only. The middle is work in progress.

Melbourne Art Retreat

I was fortunate to attend DJ Petitt's "capture Your Vision" 4 Day Retreat. Here is my book completed on the outside at least. I just have some pages inside to finish applying some interest too with paint, stencils, images, stamping, stitching etc.

Journal Pages

I've decided to start a journal, but just doing pages at this stage and will bind later. These are a couple I have completed.
